MEWAYZ Foundation is newly registered and preparing its first grant-making cycle in Akwa Ibom State. This page sets out our planned grant-making and the standards of transparency we commit to from our very first day of work.
Community Grants — First-Cycle Goal
Our target for the first grant-making cycle: relief and grants supporting vulnerable families and registered organisations serving individuals with developmental disabilities in Akwa Ibom State.
Community Grants — First-Year Goal
Our goal for our first year: fund community relief and empowerment and award grants to organisations serving vulnerable families and individuals with developmental disabilities in Akwa Ibom State.
Grant Partners — Planned
Registered charitable organisations we intend to partner with and support through grant awards as the foundation grows.
For our first grant-making cycle, we intend to deliver community relief and partner with registered organisations serving vulnerable families and individuals with developmental disabilities in the Uyo area of Akwa Ibom State.
Our aim is simple: direct resources to organisations that deliver measurable impact for the communities that need them most.
"Families facing poverty, and individuals with developmental disabilities and their carers, face significant barriers to accessing the support they need. Through our grant-making, we invest in the organisations that bridge this gap."
MEWAYZ Foundation exists to strengthen the organisations that serve vulnerable communities — including families in poverty and individuals with developmental disabilities — with grants and relief that build capacity and create lasting community impact.
As a registered Incorporated Trustee (RC 9212772), we are legally bound to provide annual audited accounts to the Corporate Affairs Commission. From our first donation onward, we commit that:
Public donations will go directly to grants and community support programmes — not overheads.
Once grant-making begins, we will publish reports detailing grant awards, partner organisations, and total disbursements.
Donors will be welcome to review our grant records and partner organisation documentation.
MEWAYZ Foundation is committed to the most rigorous standards of non-profit auditing. We believe that radical transparency is the only way to deserve the trust of our donors.
Fund Allocation 2026 (Estimate)
Formal financial audits for the 2026 fiscal year will be published in February 2027.
Every disbursement requires a 3-step verification process to ensure zero resource diversion.
Your support directly impacts the families we serve. Join us in making a difference in Uyo.
