MEWAYZ COMMUNITY IMPACT FOUNDATION is a non-profit organization dedicated to the social and economic stabilization of families in Akwa Ibom State.

Our Origins

The MEWAYZ journey began with a simple observation in the streets of Uyo: while the city was experiencing rapid urban growth, the most vulnerable members of our community—single mothers, elderly caregivers, and low-income households—were being left behind.

Our founders, Raymond Anwan Edet-Okon and Imaobong Bruno, envisioned an organization that didn't just provide "charity," but functioned as a platform for sustainable restoration. By formalizing as an Incorporated Trustee in January 2026, we committed to absolute transparency and structural integrity.

Our Backing

The Charitable Initiative of Mewayz

MEWAYZ Community Impact Foundation is the charitable initiative of Mewayz, a technology company. We exist because we believe the people building the future carry a responsibility to those being left behind by it.

Around the world, families are watching their livelihoods erode — as automation and AI reshape work, as conflict displaces communities, and as economic pressure pushes basic needs out of reach. The Foundation is Mewayz's commitment to stand with those households: beginning in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, with a long-term vision of extending support to vulnerable communities worldwide.

Mewayz backs the Foundation and is committed to funding its work as the company grows, alongside public donations. The Foundation is a separately registered Nigerian non-profit (Incorporated Trustees, CAC/IT/NO 9212772) with its own governance. Every public donation goes directly to programme costs — never to any commercial purpose.

Raymond Anwan Edet-Okon

Chairman & Founder

Raymond founded MEWAYZ Foundation after witnessing firsthand the gap between community need and formal support in Uyo. His background in community development and administration drives the Foundation's commitment to structured, measurable impact. He oversees governance, donor relations, and strategic partnerships.

Imaobong Bruno

Executive Secretary

Imaobong serves as the operational heart of MEWAYZ Foundation. She is building our field-outreach model, beneficiary-vetting process, and impact-documentation standards — the groundwork that will guide our first outreach in the Idoro Road district and ensure help reaches the households that need it most.

MEWAYZ Foundation is registered under Nigerian law as Incorporated Trustees. Our legal identity and governance structure are fully compliant with the Corporate Affairs Commission of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
