MEWAYZ is a registered Nigerian nonprofit (CAC RC 9212772) delivering free community relief, economic empowerment, developmental disability care, healthcare access, and youth education in Uyo and Akwa Ibom State. Since 2021, we've served over 5,200 individuals.
Weekly food distribution at our Uyo center serves 300+ families monthly. Our mobile van delivers emergency aid to remote villages during crises. We also run a community kitchen serving daily meals to homeless individuals and at-risk youth.
Our Uyo vocational center offers free training in tailoring, catering, digital skills, and agricultural processing. Graduates receive microgrants (NGN 50,000-200,000) to start businesses. Over 200 women have launched businesses since 2022 with a 95% survival rate.
We operate Uyo's only dedicated developmental disability day center, serving individuals with autism, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, and intellectual disabilities. We provide free occupational therapy, speech therapy, special education, and caregiver respite.
We partner with Uyo Teaching Hospital to provide free medical screenings, medication subsidies, and surgical assistance for indigent patients. Our quarterly medical camps reach 2,000+ patients annually across Akwa Ibom State.
Our after-school program provides tutoring, STEM workshops, and life-skills training to 150+ at-risk youth annually. We sponsor 42 students through secondary and tertiary education with tuition, books, and mentorship.
